Welcome!
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Kansas, specializing in trauma-informed care. Being a MFT means I am able to treat all kinds of diagnoses, both relationally and individually. MFT’s see problems through the lens of relationships and can work with an individual’s entire system to relieve symptoms and improve functioning.
“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God."
About Grace (She/her)
I began my career in the mental health field in 2005 and have 16 years of professional experience. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2010 in the state of Kansas. I am currently working toward my LCMFT and will be completing this in 2025. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City and went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University (a truly life-changing experience). I believe even therapists should go to therapy, and I’ve invested significant effort in personal healing and growth to ensure that I can be my best self for my clients.
As a trauma-informed clinician, the majority of my experience has been working with trauma. I am trained at the beginner and intermediate levels of Motivational Interviewing and enjoy using the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and other systemic and evidence-based models. I excel in working with highly conflictual couples and families, anxiety and depressive disorders, grief, specialize in brain injury recovery (I am also a survivor!) and medical trauma, and the processing of near-death experiences (NDEs).
I work with teens and adults.
