Therapy in Overland Park, Kansas
What You Can Expect
After you complete all the initial paperwork and submit it to me electronically (it’s super easy and can be done from your smart phone), we’ll meet for the first time. I will complete an intake to gather background information about your history and symptoms. The intake will last about 65 minutes. We will then create your treatment plan together (just a “roadmap” of your goals and how we’ll get there.) You can decide what frequency you’d like to attend sessions, and what feels right for you. I typically recommend weekly therapy, to create the most momentum, but this is ultimately up to you. Each session is approximately 50 minutes, and we will unpack whatever it is you want to work on that day (or maybe you just want to share things that are going well, that’s okay too!). I may give you homework to practice in between sessions. At any time, or once you meet your goals, we can either start to reduce the frequency of sessions, or you can end your time with me.
Virtual sessions are also available.

Insurance

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” indicating how much your mental health care is expected to cost. The Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of the amount you can expect to pay for treatment over the course of a year. The Good Faith Estimate is NOT a bill and you may discontinue treatment at any time.
Under the law, clinicians need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for services.
You can ask your therapist for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
